CONTEST: L’Est pour toujours

Carole Laganière will be on hand Friday and Saturday to answer your questions

In 2004, Carole Laganière interviewed a few kids growing up in Montreal’s Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood for her documentary Vues de l’est. The film was very well received, being nominated for both a Jutra and a Gemeni award. Seven years later, the youngsters are now teenagers. She reunites with them to take the measure of what has happened in their lives since 2003.

Friday May 13 and Saturday May 14 at 5:30pm, director Carole Laganière will be here to present her film L’Est pour toujours and answer your questions.

Aspiring filmmakers and passionate movie buffs, here’s your chance to meet and discuss with a professional in her field, an inspiration to her peers.

The Cinéma Parallèle is highlighting this special occasion by offering free passes to those special screenings. Write to info@cinemaparallele.ca and name another documentary sequel that will be presented in the coming days at the Parallèle and you could win a pair of tickets.

Good luck and enjoy the show!

P.S.
