Grace, Milly, Lucy... Child Soldiers starts showing February 11

Can you imagine a worse tragedy than that of children being abducted and forced into armed conflict? Yet, many young Ugandans are living this nightmare. What happens when these children, who are trained to kill, are released back into their communities? Documentary filmmaker, Raymonde Provencher explores this little-known reality in her latest film Grace, Milly, Lucy... Child Soldiers.

After watching this documentary, you will certainly want to learn more about this situation and perhaps do something yourself to address such injustices. Director Raymonde Provencher will be here on Friday at 6:35pm and on Saturday at 1:00pm to present her film and answer any questions you might have.

What’s more, the National Film Board of Canada, in collaboration with Amnesty International and the International Bureau for Children’s Rights, invite you to participate in the creation of a "Red Hands" banner on February 11 and 12, which will then be sent to UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
